Message	filter. I can't say it would block much if they are about an inch or two away around the diameter. Hard to say, but really that was why I went JWT Dual Pop over DoolZ. It just sits better and your filters aren't sticking out where they can get dirty or direct water to them (based on install them properly, of course).
